Monopoly Day x Nike + Hasbro

Uninterrupted

Commissioned by Uninterrupted for a private I Promise School event at House Three Thirty. Original artwork was approved by Nike and displayed inside a life-size Monopoly board experience.

Creative Leadership

I led the visual direction for a series of illustrations designed specifically for a youth audience participating in Monopoly Day. My goal was to create artwork that felt immersive, playful, and aligned with the event’s branded world, while still maintaining the recognizable style of Only Steph Creations. I developed the narrative direction, defined the visual tone, and shaped how the artwork would fit within the larger event environment.

Basketball-themed illustration – Tied to Nike’s brand and LeBron James, founder of House Three Thirty/I Promise School. Includes a blue-and-orange colorway per Nike’s request.

Money-themed illustration – Connects to Monopoly and the event’s mission of teaching financial literacy.

Akron-themed illustration – Celebrates Akron, OH (“Rubber City”) and the I Promise School community, designed for youth engagement.

Girly-motifs illustration – Features hearts, stars, rainbows, and flowers, appealing to 6th–8th grade girls.

Concept pitch slide – AI-generated proofs showing four initial concepts that merged Only Steph Creations’ style with the event’s tone. Nike approved and requested additional variations, including a science-themed piece.

Booth display – Showcasing all six illustrations on the life-size Monopoly board, where students purchased artwork with “Bron Bucks.”

Social media coverage – Highlights student engagement and the overall event experience across platforms.

Execution

  • Created six original digital illustrations inspired by the Monopoly theme and tailored to the interests of middle-school students.
  • Used Adobe Firefly to quickly generate proof-of-concept variations, accelerating the approval process and visual exploration.
  • Staffed and represented my brand at the event, engaging with hundreds of students and families.

Impact

  • Selected as one of only six local creators invited to contribute to the event.
  • Successfully adapted an established illustration style to a youth-focused, high-energy experiential activation.
  • Artwork was featured in an event tied to Nike and Hasbro brand releases, with media coverage showcasing the collaboration and community engagement.
